Terms of Use
Last updated: June 28, 2026
By using RoadWatch you agree to these terms. RoadWatch helps you report damaged road safety products to public agencies. Please use it responsibly.
Safety first
Never stop on an active roadway or shoulder to take a photo. Report only from a safe location — a parking area, a safe pull-off, or as a passenger. You are responsible for your own safety while using the app.
Your account
Using RoadWatch requires signing in with Apple, Google, or email. Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which permanently removes your account and your reports. We may suspend or terminate accounts that misuse the service.
Informational, not an inspection
RoadWatch’s AI identification and damage assessments are informational aids, not a professional or engineering inspection, and may be inaccurate. Agencies make their own determinations. RoadWatch is provided “as is,” without warranties, and we are not liable for decisions made based on a report.
Accurate reports
Submit reports in good faith about genuine road safety conditions. Do not submit false, misleading, abusive, or unlawful content, do not mark something fixed that isn’t, and do not misuse the service or the leaderboard to harass agencies or other users or to farm points. We may remove content, adjust points, or restrict access for misuse.
Your content
You retain ownership of the photos and information you submit. By submitting a report, you grant us permission to process it, deliver it to the relevant agency, and display non-identifying report details (what / where / severity / status / when) on the community map. If you use the leaderboard, a display name consisting of your first name and last initial (e.g., “Jane D.”) is shown publicly alongside your points.
Subscriptions
RoadWatch is free. You may optionally purchase a monthly “Supporter” subscription to help fund the service; it unlocks no additional features. Subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. They automatically renew each month until cancelled, and your account is charged through your App Store or Google Play account. You can cancel anytime in your store account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds, where applicable, are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
Changes
We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
